Seriously

Sandra Bullock wins the Golden Globe for Best Actress for her performance as a condescending, vapid house wife in "Blind Side". All awards shows are an insufferable joke, but this shit really smells.

Mickey Rourke agrees - see the look on his face (at 54-55 seconds) after he reads off Bullock's name?

Sandra Bullock works hard; this is abetted by her ability for picking money-making scripts. Her last two films, "All About Steve" and "The Proposal" made more money than most people can imagine. "Blind Side" is no exception. However, I don't think her work in "Blind Side" compares to Carey Mulligan's in "An Education," who was among many of the other nominees that seemed more likely to win than Bullock. Every dog deserves it's day or whatever, but Bullock should receive a reward that means something; "Blind Side" is nothing more than a sentimental, sugary-sweet mess of the absurdly simplified "social problems presented with box-office flair" variety force-fed to families during the holiday season. End rant.
